Introducing Thermal Dust

Recently one of you amazing subbies asked if I could create Polymer clay mood beads.  Well...  I did about a week of research.  There is good news, and bad news.  I did find out what I need for polymer clay moods beads, but at this time it is way too expensive for me to be able to do that.  It is only factories at this present time that can really make them.

However,  I did find some really cool color changing pigments, that you can mix with polymer clay, resin, and paint.  There are pigments that change color with heat or cold (thermal dust), and there are pigments that change color with  UV light (solar Dust).  So far I haven't been able to find one other Artist using it with polymer clay, so you are all the very first to see this material used with polymer clay!

For now I am experimenting with the thermal dust.  My first tutorial is a magic mirror inspired by the tale Snow White. There is pigment that changes color, and pigment the lose their color.  It opens another whole world of new possibilities to polymer clay.

There are a couple of places that sell the thermal pigment, but The largest selection of colors I have been able to find is on SolarColorDust.com

I hope to see many people discover this pigment, and create new polymer clay techniques with it.
So if you want to see a world of possibilities open up with this fun new material give my magic mirror video a thumbs up, and share it.

I will be absolutely thrilled if we can can 1000 thumbs up on this video.
Thank you so much!

Lots of love to you all!
Heather
